I am super excited to blog today about this amazing, amazing water filtration system
we just got in. About a year ago I saw this in a magazine and thought it was such
an awesome design, I researched them hoping to get more information, wanted
one for our family and wanted to carry them in the store. Long story short they were
not yet distributing in the U.S.
We recently met the creators in NYC and could not be more excited to personally have
one and be able to share them with all of you. Personally, for the last few years we
have had some issues with our city water so I have done some serious research
on household water filtration systems. In the meantime, we have had a bottled water
service that we pay alot for well aware of its impurities, not to mention it being
housed in hard plastic.
This egg shaped, porcelain vessel is not only beautiful to look at but also enhances the circulation
and regeneration of the water. It is actually supposed to revitalize the water using its own
flowy curves and the theories of Viktor Shauberger. Ovo Pur uses an aquacristal filter,
of activated carbon, quartz, copper and zinc. It uses no plastics and the filter is reusable
and only gets changed four times a year. It holds roughly 3.5 gallons and tastes divine!
They even include 3 black stones that are inscribed with love, harmony and peace that the
real purists put inside the egg with the water (I didn’t find this out until after we had put
our water in …am going to do) with the belief that water conducts and absorbs energy
from it’s surroundings.
And if that isn’t enough of a sales pitch, we recently watched the documentary “Tapped”
on the bottled water industry. Coke, Pepsi and Nestle have the monopoly on the
multi billion dollar industry. It costs them 6 cents for a gallon of water and they charge
6 dollars and it is not regulated! Not to mention that our beaches are no longer going to be
ground shells…they will be ground plastic! We are definetly going to try using our reusable
BPA free containers on the go with us and get out of the mentality of everything just being
so darn disposable because it’s not!
We now have one in the store for our staff and customers to drink!
