Two of our favorite ladies (ever) have done it again! Bethany Puopolo, Charlottesville Architect Extraordinaire has colaborated with Tudor Grove’s Camille Price to design and build a gorgeous elevator that looks like it has been there forever.
I think it is a gorgeous addition to the historical home.
Love the library wallpaper she ordered from England and the worn oriental rug.
It so naturally connects to the interior of the house. On the first floor, they broke through an existing arch and as you can tell actually enhances the room. Looks like a little library nook!
Love what you walk into…so inviting! Unfortunately I did not get pics of the second floor where it connects to the master bedroom through a closet…it’s fabulous!
We are proud to have Bethany as a part of The Scout Guide network in our Charlottesville guide . To see more of her work please look for her at http://www.bethanypuopolo.com. Her fabulous home is featured in Southen Living this month! click here.

I could not resist sharing some photos from Jannie’s house this morning. Gorgeous!!!!
Southern Living magazine asked me to decorate our table for Thanksgiving this year. Considering it was August and no food could be used, I resorted to my good ole” standby…nature! Instead of a big beautiful bouquet which was difficult to find in the dead of August, I opted for a natural curiosities centerpiece. To see the feature pick up the November issue.
The menu by Erika Jack!
Kiki Slaughter painting!
We incorporated the girls collection of butterflies.
Ruby and Tulip used antique salt cellars for place card holders with moss and rocks etc.. Never want to be too predictable!
I have to apologize for my absence, we have been uber-busy with the explosion of The Scout Guide. What started as a labor of love for our beloved Charlottesville, has now grown into over 35 markets across the country.
The rate at which we are growing is super exciting and it is thrilling to bring a huge awareness to the amazing local and unique shops, services, etc. across the country. We have become a travel guide and a resource for local excellence allowing customers to shop locally from a far. Unlike so many travel guides with famous names behind them (Gwyneth & Tory), our celebrities are the amazing people behind the businesses. In a time when Restoration Hardware and Target seem to be taking over the world, we feel so honored to be able to pool together the best of the best from all over the country.
