We were away last week on spring break and was so excited to come back to spring.
Finally this afternoon, the cold weather seemed to break and spring felt like it was here.
The girls and I had to go explore the yard and see what was blooming. We found some beauties!
Some of my very favorite flowers are here, grape hyacinth, violets and blue bells…so sweet!

SHARON, JODI AND THE GIRLS

If you don’t know S.H. Merrick you should.  It is a wonderful dress shop in Gordonsville, Va,
straight out of the streets of London.  Sharon, the store’s owner and best model, has a great eye
for beautifully crafted lines of European designers both sophisticated and comfortable.
Her well edited collection suits all occasions and ages.  She had her annual fashion show at
Keswick Hall on Monday and included another “must know” shop,  Sugarbritches,
a fantastic childrens shop that will make you drool.  Jodi, the stores owner and mother of three
has found some absolutely stunning french, english, and american childrens designers.
My daughters are crazy for everything in there!  I snapped off a few pics of the show monday
to get you enticed. Neither store has their website up and running yet but they will be coming soon.

I can’t decide whether to put a banquette in our breakfast room or not.  Although I think
it suits the room and would give us more space, not sure I want to commit to  a
permanent  piece.  These pictures are great inspiration to get one!
